Khao Khanap Nam Boat Trip

A must-do activity when visiting the Ko Klang community is a long-tail boat ride through a one-kilometer mangrove tunnel, followed by a walk to explore Khao Khanab Nam caves. Along the way, spot wildlife such as snakes, crabs, and monkeys. Visitors can also take part in eco-friendly activities like mangrove planting, crab releasing and nature restoration.

Kanabnam View Seafood

When in the Ko Klang community, don’t miss the chance to enjoy fresh seafood straight from local fish cages while supporting community fisheries. Savor signature local dishes such as Yum Hoi Pong Riseh (spicy shellfish salad), Hoi Rak Tom Kati (shellfish in coconut milk), and the famous Sangyod rice. The highlight? A feast of rainbow-hued seven-colored lobster.

Model Longtail Boat

Preserving the traditional way of life, Ko Klang once relied on hua thong long-tail boats for fishing and transportation. Today, this practice is declining and the original hua thong boats are becoming rare. To keep the tradition alive, locals have created replica boats, allowing visitors to learn about their history and even try assembling parts of the boat themselves

Sangyod Rice

This community is known for producing high-quality Sangyod rice, thanks to its unique growing environment. The rice is cultivated on Ko Klang, an island surrounded by seawater. Farmers rely on a mix of rainwater and brackish water to nourish the paddies, creating the distinct flavor and character that set Ko Klang Sangyod rice apart from others.

Coconut Shell Handicrafts

Souvenirs made from coconut shells, with the highlight being the black crab — a symbol of Krabi.
